Hi Reader, Hope you've been having a good start to Spring. 🌸 The past few weeks have been really full in the best way. I’ve been hiking more, traveling, spending time with family, celebrating birthdays… just living life outside of my usual routine. And while all of that has felt really good, my personal yoga practice quietly slipped into the background. And instead of making that a problem, I’ve been noticing something different: Yoga is always there to come back to. This past week, I started easing back in with simple, guided practices (shoutout to Yoga with Adriene 🙏🏼 sometimes it’s nice to not think and just be guided through a flow). No pressure to do it perfectly. No expectation to jump back in where I left off. Simply starting again. That’s really what yoga teaches us: not consistency in a rigid way, but the ability to return. Again and again. Next month, I’m actually starting an Ashtanga immersion (which feels both exciting and humbling), and it’s reminding me that being a beginner again is part of the practice too. Trying out a new yoga practice I've never attempted, but have always been intrigued by. So if your routine has looked different lately, or your practice hasn’t been what you expected…you’re not behind, you’re just in the middle of it, and you can always come back. 🌀 Yoga Tools for the Month: Coming Back to Practice
Here's a short 20 min practice that helps build a little heat with Sun Salutations - honestly, my favorite way to get back into my yoga practices is doing several Sun Salutations. Where to find me this month:💻 Online Yoga Saturdays Saturdays 8-9AM MST | 3PM UTC This month, I’m also teaching a 4-week series that feels very aligned with everything I’ve been reflecting on lately — coming back to the foundations of the practice. Instead of adding more, we’re simplifying. Returning to what’s always been there. Each week, we’ll focus on a different “anchor”: • Back to the Breath — reconnect to your anchor (4/11) If you’ve been waiting for a sign to come back to your practice… this is it. Over the next few weeks, classes will follow a “back to the roots” flow: each one layering onto the last. Totally okay to join anytime, but if you stick with it, you might notice your practice starting to feel more connected and intentional. 🌴 Costa Rica Yoga Retreat + Q&A If you’ve been curious about the retreat, I’ll be hosting a live Q&A on April 22nd (12–1PM MST) to walk through details, answer questions, and help you see if it’s a good fit. Register here to get the link to join. Ready to book? Reserve your spot with only $500 down And if a future retreat is on your mind… I’ve also been quietly dreaming up some new locations (Joshua Tree, maybe even Europe 👀). More to come. ✨ Something New I’ve Been Working On Behind the scenes, I’ve also been working on something I’m really excited about — a more structured way to practice with me online (think: on-demand, guided, easy-to-access classes). Still in the early stages, but I’ll share more soon 🤍 If there's anything you'd like to see with on-demand or an online app, let me know and I can try to include it. 💬 AffirmationReturning is part of the practice. Sending my best, 💛 Maria Useful links |
